Lighthouse Pointe Marina takes pride in offering, luxurious , well-equipped, well-maintained Bentley pontoon boats powered by Mercury 115hp outboards to make your day on the water relaxing, fun and safe. Each rental includes life preservers and all other necessary safety equipment, as well as bluetooth-connected stereos and bimini tops to provide a shady respite when needed. We know you don’t want to spend your time at the dock, so our tubes can be rented for the entire day, for only $30. A full tank of gas is included in the rental fee ($150 value). No standing in the hot sun having to reach into your wallet to pay for your fuel. That’s not a fitting way to end a great day on the water.

What is the age requirement to rent a boat?

The primary driver must be at LEAST 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license & credit card.If the driver was born on or after Jan 1, 1989; the driver must present a boater education card issued by the Tennessee Wildlife Recreation Agency (TWRA) or the equivalent from another state.

Are reservations required?

Yes, you can make your reservation online and check our availability.

Do I have to pay for fuel?

Your first tank of gas is included in your rental. Additional fuel can be purchased at our fuel dock, if needed.

What should I bring when renting a boat?

  • Cooler with food and drinks. (Coolers can be rented on site)
  • Ice (Ice sold on site)
  • Cooler packages with soft drinks, water and ice can be added to your reservation
  • Fully charged cell phone
  • Credit card/money
  • Photo ID
  • Camera
  • Sun Screen/Tanning lotion
  • Sunglasses
  • Towels
  • Device for connecting to Bluetooth radio for playing your favorite music
  • Water toys, floats
  • Fishing equipment and Tennessee fishing license

What is not allowed on the boat?

  • BBQ Grills
  • Generators
  • Smoking
  • Fireworks

How many people can I fit on my boat?

Our pontoon boats can hold up to 10 passengers.  Every person is considered a passenger whether they are a child or an adult.

Can I keep a rental boat at my dock overnight?

Yes! If you’re staying on Douglas Lake, you can rent a boat for multiple days and keep it at your approved dock at no extra charge. Just give us a call at 865-397-7997 to arrange your multi-day reservation or click here!

Is alcohol allowed on the boat?

Please make sure you have a designated driver. It is a violation of Tennessee law to operate a vessel while impaired by alcohol or other drugs. If pulled over, a vessel operator suspected of boating under the influence must submit to sobriety tests and a physical or chemical test to determine blood or breath alcohol content. In Tennessee, a vessel operator is presumed to be under the influence if their blood or breath alcohol level is at or above .08. Any person under 21 years of age who is found to have a breath alcohol level of .02 or higher and operates or is in actual physical control of a vessel is in violation of Tennessee law.

What is the cancellation policy?

Customers may cancel at least 48 hours prior to their arrival date and time to receive a full refund minus a $5 service fee. Customers that cancel after the 48 hour period will not be eligible for a refund. If the weather is unfavorable for boating, the trip will be rescheduled for another time/day. No-shows will not be refunded. Customers may make changes to the reservation without any fees as long as it’s outside the 48 hour cancellation period.

What if the weather doesn’t look good on the day of your rental?

If your trip is canceled due to weather, we try to do our best to reschedule you, based on availability. If you know the weather is not going to work on the day of your appointment, please feel free to call ahead to reschedule.

Who must wear a life jacket?

Any child under the age of thirteen (13) must wear a U.S.C.G. approved flotation device (PFD) while onboard at all times.

Each person riding on a towable tube must wear a U.S.C.G approved personal flotation device (PFD). Inflatable flotation devices are prohibited for personal use.

What is a No-Wake Zone?

Any vessel operating in a speed zone posted as “Idle Speed – No Wake”  or within 300 feet of a marina must operate at the minimum speed that allows the vessel to maintain headway and steerageway. The vessel’s wake must be a minimum.

What is there to do on a boat?

It’s really up to you on what you want to do, but here are a couple of ideas. Hang out & socialize on the water. Dock at a restaurant to eat. Cruise the lake and take in the Smoky Mountain scenery. Do a lake tour of the boats and houses. Fish. Swim. Tan in the sun. It’s endless!

Are pets allowed on the boat?

Yes, we are pet-friendly.  A $50 non-refundable pet fee is required. Pets under 30lbs are allowed (please protect the seats with towels if your pet’s claws will be on the seats).
